Nili is an experienced trial lawyer whose practice focuses on government and internal investigations, white collar defense, complex commercial litigation, and regulatory compliance. She has tried seven federal jury cases to verdict, including complex civil and criminal trials that have spanned from one to eight weeks.
From 2008 through 2014, Nili served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, where she investigated, prosecuted, and tried complex cases involving national security, racketeering, and financial offenses.
Nili has spent the last five years in senior in-house roles at digital tech startups, including financial services platform Robinhood, where she was one of the unicorn’s first lawyers and quickly rose to Head of Litigation & Investigations. Most recently, Nili served as Chief Legal Officer of Founders Fund-backed property technology company Bungalow Living, where she oversaw the legal and compliance functions.
Earlier in her career, Nili worked as a litigation attorney at two prominent law firms, advising corporations and individuals in complex federal and state court litigation, criminal and regulatory enforcement matters, and compliance audits.
She is a member of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California’s Standing Committee on Discipline, as well as a member of the Board of the Brown Alumni Entrepreneurship Group.
