Sashi represents clients in high-stakes commercial disputes and professional malpractice matters, leveraging her deep understanding of her clients’ legal and business issues to deliver successful outcomes in and out of court.

Sashi has experience in numerous areas, including professional malpractice, corporate governance, derivative shareholder actions, class actions, commercial real estate disputes, and fraud. She brings a unique perspective that comes from representing both plaintiffs and defendants through all stages of litigation, from pre-filing dispute resolution through appeal.

For over a decade, Sashi has defended one of the largest law firms in the world in its legal malpractice and legal ethics matters, obtaining case-ending summary judgment rulings in multiple cases.

Sashi is committed to pro bono work, having contributed to the decades-long case on behalf Florida’s children on Medicaid, which “may have changed more lives than any U.S. litigation of the past decade” (Lawdragon, 2016) and resulted in improved access to medical and dental care for a class of 2 million Florida children.

Sashi is co-administrative partner for the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office where she has worked for more than 20 years.

Prior to joining the firm, Sashi served as an Assistant County Attorney at the Miami-Dade County Attorney's Office, where she represented Miami-Dade County in civil litigation.

Sashi’s recent experience includes:

  • Representing the Fisher Island Community Association Inc., which oversees the wealthiest zip code in the U.S., in a long-running dispute between several of its board members and its developer; she successfully negotiated and defended a global resolution that Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Michael Hanzman said passed the settlement fairness test with “flying colors”
  • Obtained a per curium affirmance by the Fourth District Court of Appeals on behalf of a large international law firm in a derivative shareholder suit; the order ended claims for fraud, conspiracy, RICO, and negligence against the law firm Sashi represented and over 60 other defendants; in the same appeal, the Fourth District held that her client was entitled to recover its fees and costs

  • Representing de-frauded Madoff-feeder fund investors in a class action, recovering over $200 million in settlements
  • Recovering a multimillion-dollar escrow fund on behalf of the former owners of an information management company
  • Defeating fraud claims brought against the sellers of a technology business
  • Obtaining a multimillion-dollar judgment for a major industrial engineering company on a claim arising out of a generator accident in China
