Katie is a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office. She specializes in all aspects of intellectual property law with an emphasis on patent, trademark, design, and copyright litigation.
As a member of the New York, Australian and New Zealand bars, Katie has extensive experience representing clients in the U.S. and internationally before courts and various intellectual property bodies. As a California-registered Foreign Legal Consultant, she also has extensive experience advising California clients regarding foreign law. Katie has particular knowledge in developing large scale IP enforcement strategies for multinational companies faced with global counterfeiting and other IP dilution issues.
Having lived and worked not only in the U.S. but also the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and mainland China, Katie brings a unique understanding and perspective of both the domestic and international IP issues that many companies face.
Prior to joining the firm, Katie worked at a Silicon Valley-based boutique law firm where she contributed to the national expansion of and ultimately oversaw its entire intellectual property practice. Previously, she worked at a large global law firm as a foreign advisor on intellectual property law across its London, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles offices.
