Jason is a trial and appellate litigator who has worked in private practice and government. His practice focuses on complex and high-stakes commercial and government-related litigation on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants.
Jason has litigated matters before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Florida Supreme Court, most federal courts of appeal, federal and state trial courts across the country, and international arbitration panels. He has argued before the Eleventh Circuit and other state and federal courts. And he has lectured on corporate litigation at multiple law schools—most recently as an adjunct professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
Before joining the firm, Jason served as a law clerk for the Hon. John K. Bush on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Hon. Sam Glasscock III on the Delaware Court of Chancery. Following his clerkships, Jason was an associate at an international law firm in Washington, D.C. before serving as a Deputy Solicitor General for the State of Florida. In that role, he represented Florida in matters of public importance, including cases successfully challenging federal agency action and those involving unsettled issues of constitutional, statutory, regulatory, and criminal law.
Jason currently serves on the Fourth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. In that role, he provides the governor with nominees for appointment to Florida's Fourth District Court of Appeal, which hears appeals arising out of Palm Beach, Broward, St. Lucie, Martin, Indian River, and Okeechobee Counties.
Jason also serves as the Second Vice Chair of the Business Litigation Committee of the Florida Bar.
