BSF partners Stuart Singer and Carl Goldfarb are leading a team of attorneys providing pro bono services for the 1.7 million Florida children on Medicaid and their advocates in a federal trial that began on December 7, 2009. BSF is seeking to remedy systemic deficiencies in the medical and dental care provided to indigent children in the state. Children’s limited access to health care is such a chronic problem that the conservative Florida Medical Association came out publicly in support of the suit.
After over 90 days of trial, closing arguments in the case took place April 20th, 2012. A ruling is expected by the end of the summer.
