The Salt Lake Tribune and other media outlets covered a $7 million settlement that Boies Schiller Flexner reached with two defendants in an antitrust lawsuit on behalf of a class of consumers who purchased contact lenses online. The settling defendants also agreed to provide substantial assistance to the plaintiffs in this action.
The settlement will provide significant financial compensation to class memebers and cooperation from the settling defendants, said Washington D.C. partner Scott Gant, who brought the case with Fort Lauderdale partner Carl Goldfarb and Washington D.C. partner Melissa Felder Zappala. The lawsuit continues against 1-800 Contacts and other online retailers.
