Boies, Schiller & Flexner ranked at the top of the Up-and-Comers list for the American Lawyers 2010 A-List law firms. The A-List consists of the 20 highest ranked law firms, and the Up-and-Comers category consists of the next 21-50 law firms.
BSF ranked number 21 this year -- the highest rank in the Up-and-Comers category -- scoring just half a percentage point less than the 20th ranked A-List firm. This represents a dramatic movement from 2009, when we first appeared on the chart in the 55th spot.
The American Lawyer's methodology for determining A-List and Up-and-Comer firms includes looking at four factors: revenue per lawyer, pro bono commitment, diversity among lawyers, and associate satisfaction.
