Sigrid McCawley has been waging a war against Jeffrey Epstein and his various allies for the past five and a half years, representing eight women and serving as co-counsel for three others, American Lawyer columnist Vivia Chen wrote. McCawley's lawsuit for Virginia Roberts Giuffre against Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell “triggered a reexamination of Epstein's lenient sentencing in 2008 for the prostitution of minors” and led prosecutors in the Southern District of New York to charge Epstein with sex trafficking, according to the American Lawyer.
