Boies Schiller Flexner has joined the team heading a proposed class action against Meta for allegedly using copyrighted material to train its artificial intelligence product “Llama.”
Plaintiffs include comedian Sarah Silverman, Ta-Nehisi Coates, and Junot Diaz, among other authors, who sued Meta in July 2023, alleging they never gave the company permission to use their copyrighted works in a dataset to train versions of Llama.
The BSF team representing the plaintiffs includes David Boies, Josh Schiller, Max Pritt, and Jesse Panuccio.
