Six Elevated to Counsel in Offices Throughout the Firm
Boies Schiller Flexner LLP announced that two litigators have been elected to its partnership and five individuals have been appointed counsel, effective January 1. The new partners are Corey Gray in Fort Lauderdale and Laselve Harrison in Miami.
“We have always touted the fact that associates at BSF get to take on as much responsibility as they can handle, and Corey and Laselve are great examples of two attorneys who have consistently delivered outstanding results for our clients,” Managing Partners Sigrid McCawley, Matthew L. Schwartz, and Alan Vickery said in a joint statement. “Their success is a reflection of that approach, as well as the strength of our South Florida offices, and we are thrilled to welcome them to the partnership.”
Corey Gray handles high-stakes commercial, antitrust, and energy litigation that often involves issues of first impression, and he is actively engaged in pro bono work. Before practicing law, Corey served as an active duty officer in the U.S. Army with multiple deployments to Iraq. He continues to serve in the U.S. Army Reserve, where his responsibilities include commanding a strategic Army unit. Corey has been an active participant in the firm’s DEI initiatives and collaborations with groups like the Leadership Counsel on Legal Diversity and the Minority Corporate Counsel Association.
Laselve Harrison is an experienced litigator who represents plaintiffs and defendants in the areas of complex commercial litigation, antitrust and unfair competition, real estate disputes, products liability, data privacy, and multidistrict litigation. He regularly advocates before both trial and appellate courts, including successfully arguing a matter of first impression before Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal. In the community, Laselve is active with the 100 Black Men of South Florida, 5000 Role Models, Caribbean Bar Association, and Minority Corporate Counsel Association.
Lauren Goldman (New York), Simon Leen (Los Angeles/San Francisco), Jenna Smith (Albany), Benjamin Solomon-Schwartz (Washington, D.C.), and Jason Zack (Miami) were appointed counsel.
“In addition to the partner promotions, we elevated six outstanding attorneys to counsel this year,” McCawley, Schwartz, and Vickery added. “Whether promoting individuals across offices from within the firm or taking advantage of opportunities on the lateral market, we continue to make strategic moves to help us meet client demand for trial-ready lawyers who can handle their most complex, high-stakes matters.”
